Susan set aside her work in the film and fashion industry in 1999, and changed her focus to developing a product with substantial sun protection that would not feel heavy or melt off in the heat. Her talent has been celebrated in Vogue, Bazaar, Allure, Self, Redbook, and Beauty. Susan's knowledge and expertise led her to a contract with a major cosmetic company to teach and develop innovative makeup techniques and products. In addition, she has worked on-camera teaching makeup.

In addition to her freelance work, Susan has created the COLORFLO family of products to provide a healthy approach to perfect looking skin. The inspiration for COLORFLO was more out of necessity than vanity. She had developed skin cancer in her face and wanted to find a way to protect her skin without having toapply multiple layers of products that would only sweat off when exposed to outside elements. Thus, COLORFLO was born ? one product to make it simple.

Why I will not do a complete mineral colour line. My goal is to continue to create cutting edge products, in packaging and/ or product. I believe that mineral makeup is only revolutionary in its powdered form. Once it is pressed, gelled, liquefied, it is no longer pure. It requires stabilizers, preservatives and emulsifiers - just like every other product on the market.
